The Bunkhouse

A cottage that has been turned into a warm and cosy bunkhouse that sleeps 22 people in four bedrooms with three pristine shower rooms.  The two upstairs bedrooms sleep 8 people each in bunk beds.  The downstairs bedrooms sleep 3 people in each room in a bunk bed and a single bed.

There is a well equipped kitchen with three fridges, a freezer, two ovens, two kettles, a microwave, toaster, coffee machine and a five ring induction hob.

There are mattress protectors and pillows on each bed. However we encourage guests to bring sleeping bags or their own bedding.  Duvets, pillows and bed linen can be provided at an extra cost.  Please do ask about this when making a booking.

There is ample parking outside and mountain bikes can be stored safely.

The bunkhouse sits on the doorstep of Hopton Woods, the home of mountain biking in Shropshire and a popular destination for many of our guests. 

The woods feature the Pearce XC Loop as well as some outstanding downhill tracks which commonly get used as a race venue.

All the trails at Hopton are largely unsurfaced so the way they ride changes according to the weather and the season.

Trails include a warm-up loop which is short and relatively easy, a blue trail 4.6km in length, the Pearce XC loop as well as 3 black graded downhill trails.
